These Terms of Service govern your use of the Windows 4U website and your engagement of our window replacement and door installation services. By contacting us, requesting an estimate, or authorizing work, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. Questions? Call us at (925) 393-3578.
Windows 4U is a licensed California window replacement and door installation contractor operating in the East Bay and greater Bay Area. CA Contractor License #1097508. All estimates provided by Windows 4U, whether in-home or remote, are free and carry no obligation to proceed. Remote estimates are based on approximate measurements provided by you and are subject to revision after our crew takes precise on-site measurements before any work or materials are ordered. Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated.
Final pricing is confirmed in a written proposal prior to the start of any work. We do not begin installation until you have reviewed and approved the written quote.
You have the right to cancel your contract without penalty within 5 days of signing. To cancel, notify us in writing by email at windows4ual@gmail.com or by text/call to (925) 393-3578. Cancellations received within this window will receive a full refund of any deposit paid.
After the 5-day cancellation window, if materials have already been ordered, cancellations may be subject to a restocking or materials fee as specified in your written proposal. We ask for as much advance notice as possible so we can minimize costs on your behalf.
We reserve the right to reschedule installations due to weather conditions, material delays, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will provide as much advance notice as possible in such cases.
Payment terms are outlined in your individual written proposal and may include:
Full payment is due upon satisfactory completion unless alternative terms are specified in writing. Past-due balances may be subject to a finance charge.
Windows 4U provides a 4-year installation warranty covering defects in workmanship on all installations we perform. This warranty covers issues directly resulting from our installation work and does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, acts of God, structural settlement, or modifications made by third parties.
Most windows and doors we install also carry a manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty on the product itself, covering defects in materials. Warranty claims for product defects are processed through the manufacturer; we will assist you in initiating that process.
The 4-year term reflects California's statutory requirement for contractor installation warranties. That said, if you contact us after the warranty period with an issue you believe is related to our original installation work, we will review it and do our best to help. We stand behind our work beyond what the paperwork requires.

The scope of work is defined by your written proposal. Any changes to the scope requested during or after installation will be handled via a written change order, which must be approved by both parties before additional work begins. Change orders may affect the project cost and timeline.

Depending on your city and project scope, a permit may be required for window or door replacement. We will advise you on permit requirements during the estimate process. If a permit is required and agreed upon in the written proposal, we will manage the permit application on your behalf; permit fees are the responsibility of the homeowner unless otherwise stated.
Windows 4U's liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific work giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost use of your property. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable California law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be resolved in Contra Costa County, California.
