Picture Window

Maximum Light

Picture Windows

Picture windows are large, fixed-pane windows designed to maximize natural light and frame outdoor views like a painting. They don't open, which actually makes them among the most energy-efficient windows available since there are no moving parts to wear or leak. Perfect for living rooms, dining areas, and anywhere you want to showcase the view. A popular combination is a large center picture window flanked by casements or single-hungs on each side, giving you maximum light in the middle and ventilation on the sides.

Arch & Specialty Window

Custom Shapes

Arch, Round & Specialty Shape Windows

Not every window has to be a rectangle. We install specialty shape windows: full arches, half-rounds, quarter-rounds, circles, ovals, octagons, and polygon shapes. These accent windows are typically installed above a standard window or door to add architectural character and bring in natural light from unexpected angles.

Specialty shapes pair naturally with standard casement, single-hung, or picture windows below them. If you're matching an existing shape or working with a specific architectural style, we can usually match the form, size, and frame color exactly.

We Build Window Combinations

Windows don't have to be installed one at a time. We regularly build combination window units — a fixed picture window paired with flanking casements, a slider combined with double-hungs, or a single-hung below an arch accent. Combinations let you get the light and scale of a large opening while still controlling ventilation from the sections that open. They also give your home a more custom, architectural look that standard off-the-shelf windows can't match. Tell us the look you're going for, the wall size you're working with, and any ventilation needs, and we'll spec out the right combination for you.

Window Frame Materials We Install

We work with all major window frame materials. We'll help you choose the right one based on your home's style, climate requirements, and budget.

Vinyl

Most popular choice. Low maintenance, excellent insulation, and resistant to moisture, ideal for Bay Area's varied climate. Most budget-friendly option.

Fiberglass

Premium strength and performance. Won't warp, rot, or expand in heat. Paintable to any color. Fiberglass takes paint beautifully and holds it longer than wood. Best long-term value.

Aluminum

Slim sightlines, modern aesthetic, and exceptional durability. Great for contemporary homes, large spans, and commercial applications.

Wood

Classic beauty and warmth that no other material can match. Paintable in standard exterior paint or lacquer for a premium finish. Best for historic homes and upscale interiors.

Retrofit or Full-Frame? We Do Both.

We assess every opening and recommend the right approach. We'll never upsell you to a more invasive method when a simpler one will do the job properly.

Retrofit (Pocket) Replacement

The new window unit is inserted into your existing frame. Your stucco, siding, and exterior paint stay completely undisturbed. Faster, less expensive, and the right choice when the existing frame is structurally sound. Most Bay Area replacements use this method.

  • No stucco or siding disturbed
  • Less expensive
  • Faster installation
  • Minimal interior disruption

Full-Frame / New Construction

Everything comes out: glass, frame, sill, and casing, down to the rough framing. This is the right approach when the existing frame is rotted, damaged by water, or when the frame itself has been leaking and the structural framing behind it is compromised. Also used for new builds, additions, and resizing an opening. We rebuild from the studs, waterproof properly, and install the new unit from the ground up.

  • Rotted, damaged, or leaking frames
  • New builds & additions
  • Resize any opening
  • Full waterproofing from scratch

All installations meet California Title 24 energy standards and comply with applicable fire codes and construction regulations.
