Walnut Creek is home. We replace windows and doors across the city, from mid-century ranches in Parkmead and Tice Valley to Rossmoor and the hillside homes along Shell Ridge, with glass built for our summer heat.

When you call, you talk to the people who will measure your home and install your windows. Walnut Creek’s mix of mid-century ranch homes, HOA communities like Rossmoor, and hillside houses near open space means the right window changes from street to street, and we know those streets.

Walnut Creek isn’t Oakland or San Francisco. The heat, the housing, and the HOAs all change which window is right for your home.
Summer afternoons here regularly reach the 90s and beyond, far hotter than towns closer to the bay. Walnut Creek sits in California energy climate zone 12, where the biggest win from new windows is keeping heat out. On west- and south-facing walls we spec low-E glass with a low solar heat gain rating, which keeps bedrooms cooler and cuts how long the AC runs.
Neighborhoods like Parkmead, Walnut Heights, and Tice Valley are full of 1950s and 70s ranch homes that still have their original single-pane aluminum sliders. Most of these can be replaced with retrofit windows that fit inside the existing frame, so the stucco around the opening stays intact and there is no exterior patching or repainting.
In Rossmoor and other HOA-managed communities, exterior changes such as window color, grid pattern, and frame style usually need approval before work starts. We supply the product specifications, color samples, and written scope your mutual or HOA asks for, and we order only after the approval is in hand.
Homes along Shell Ridge, Lime Ridge, and the Walnut Creek hills can fall inside a state-mapped fire hazard severity zone. California’s wildfire building standards call for dual-pane windows with at least one tempered pane in those zones. We check your address against the fire hazard map during the estimate and spec the glass accordingly.
Homes near the freeways or the BART line do best with laminated or sound-rated glass in the bedrooms.
A smooth, well-sealed patio door is one of the most noticeable upgrades in a Walnut Creek ranch home.
